Recently, switched inductor (SI) and capacitor techniques in dc-dc converter are recommended to achieve high voltage by using the principle of parallel charging series discharging reactive elements. It is noteworthy that four diodes, one high-voltage rating switch, two inductors required design classical SI boost (SIBC). Moreover, SIBC, switch stress equal output voltage. In this article, modified SIBC (mSIBC) proposed with reduced across active switches. The mSIBC configuration article transformerless simply derived replacing diode structure an switch. As a result, low-voltage switches, since total shared into low cost, provides higher efficiency, requires same number components compared SIBC. continuous conduction mode discontinuous analysis, effect nonidealities on gain, methodology, comparison presented detail. operation performance designed 500-W experimentally validated under different perturbations.
